Identical twin sisters Jo and Erica face each other in a conflict that's both physically and emotionally violent, leading to a rupture. A few years later, their paths cross again. In their new lives, will they be able to reconnect ?

What If We Were Happy? ماذا لو كنّا سعداء؟

Do events unfold in cycles? Does history inevitably repeat itself? Through the director's lens, we follow Lebanese photographer Nadim, street artist Roula, and the director’s Syrian flatmate Haifa as they navigate life in contemporary Lebanon, reflecting on what it means to be alive in a place where the past seems to echo endlessly into the present.
An essay/creative documentary based in Lebanon between 2019 and 2024, produced CinéDokké with the support of RSI
It had its world premiere where it was shot, in Beirut, at the Beirut International Women Film Festival between 27.04-03.05. Further selections include: Lift-Off Global Session, Buenos Aires Underground Film Festival, Port Said Film Festival, 41st Alexandria Mediterranean Film Festival, Arab Experimental Film Festival Berlin, and Egyptian American Film Festival.

2024 SOAS MA Cultural Studies graduate with distinction, focus on subversive storytelling in diasporic Syrian cinema.!
Previously with Traumascapes, I took part to designing the 2024 Lancet Psychiatry covers as part of their arts collective.
I co-organised the installation exhibition “In Their Absence” along with abstract artist Alaa Shasheet.

As an effort to expand my writing and performing capacities, I have been performing comedy between 2023 and 2025, and have been performing in English at the Royal Albert Hall with Arabs Are Not Funny and in Arabic with Comedy Factoy 3arabi.
I wrote a small reaction in French for the collective “la Palestine sauvera le cinema” (2025).
A poem I wrote in 2017 and performed in 2023.
In my spare time, I sing and practise partner acrobatics. I teach it too!
